When players say they like and want a return of the Mage Tower, they were asking for a *new* Mage Tower-like scenario with new rewards and challenges. I'd love for any player that missed the mage tower to experience probably one of the best additions to WoW Blizz has done.Īlso if they're adding the T20 recolors to obtain from them too, I am going to be absolutely stoked to do them all again! Comment by Hyrcyne on T00:35:53-05:00 It was dumb to remove this amazing content anyway. Who cares when they did the challenge as long as its still challenging. Preserve the challenge of the mage tower and let people obtain them. I got all 36 mage tower artifact appearances in legion, who cares if they bring them back. I will never understand the people who feel like they have to be special snowflakes at all times. This will just make it so I don't feel that way any longer, and i guess at that point I can move on from the game.īye Felicia Comment by FirelordAzula on T00:35:43-05:00 Part of the reason I still play is I have items that are non obtainable and makes me feel like I have something to show for my time in the game. I will literally cancel my sub if this is a way to get the transmog stuff from the tower. Not selfish at all actually! Comment by Cecoura on T00:26:13-05:00 Or just filthy casuals who couldn't git gud in time for them to be removed! Bring the Tower back, scale the numbers to account for the level squish, and go nuts. Especially new players who just so happened to not be playing at the time, or the ones who had other things going on in their lives and weren't subbed. Both positions are selfish in exactly the same way.Įxcept for my place of moral superiority, because I want the re-addition of rewards that I already have for the sake of other players. There is no place of moral superiority to be found here. People not being able to accept that other players have things they don't isn't any better (or less self centered and egotistical) than people being unable to accept other players having the same things they do. Petitioning for the readdition of rewards you missed out on because you want them yourself but framing it as if it's for the sake of other players really is disgusting and slimy behavior. Here are all the spells related to the Mage Tower that were retuned on this tier:

This gives some extra evidence that Blizzard may be returning the Mage Tower as these spells have their own tuning modifier. All of these spells were nerfed by the same ~45%, compared to the 55% tuning nerf for Legion dungeon spells. There are a bunch of Mage Tower spells that were retuned this build. Lead Game Designer Jeremy Feasel also released an ominous a few days ago about the previously datamined sets.Ĭould these be the new rewards from a returning Mage Tower? With new HD recolors of the Tier 20 from Tomb of Sargeras being datamined and no source for them at the moment, this could be where they come from. The last two spells, Teleport Precast and Teleport LFG Dungeon have no obvious references, but there are only two challenges left, Closing the Eye and Feltotem's Fall.
WOW MAGE TOWER 9.1.5 FREE
Teleport to Dual Boss Scenario Free is likely a reference to Thwarting the Twins, a Mage Tower challenge that had two bosses (but only required you to defeat one).Teleport to Healer Scenario Free is likely a reference to End of the Risen Threat, the Mage Tower challenge for all healing specs.Teleport - Imp Mother's Den is also a rather obvious reference to An Impossible Foe, which required certain specs to defeat the Imp Mother Agatha.Teleport to God Queen Scenario is an obvious reference to The God-Queen's Fury, which required certain specs to defeat God-Queen Sigryn.Teleport - Twisting Nether very likely refers to The Highlord's Return, which required all Tank specs to defeat Highlord Kruul in the Twisting Nether. Why could these have been added? Our speculation is they're related to the return of the Mage Tower.
